So people are clamoring for us to add a “You cannot trace” rule to the custom wearables page. People apparently “didn’t know” that was a rule.
I’m sorry, but… what?
First of all, it’s in the site rules and terms that you agree to every time you play the game. So… don’t say you didn’t know it’s a rule. That means you didn’t read.
Second of all, and more importantly…
Are you a decent human being? Yes? Then you should KNOW that tracing other peoples’ art is never okay. Whether it’s from a movie or someone else’s artwork or a comic or whatever doesn’t matter. Why would anyone in their right mind think TRACING and then profiting off of that tracing is okay?!
If YOU drew something by scratch, and someone traced over part of it for a custom wearable, you wouldn’t be saying “it’s not in the rules, so it’s okay!” - you’d be screaming for their blood. How is this any different?!
That’s the most frustrating part to me! You are an artist yourself! How can you think -tracing- is okay, at any time?!
